Meet Skip Rung –
As Founder of ONAMI, the Oregon Nanoscience and Microtechnologies Institute, located in Corvallis, Oregon, Skip Rung focuses on collaboration and connections between research and commercialization, public entities and private business, nationally, regionally, and locally. Providing the visionary leadership to Recognizing the wealth of talent and depth in Oregon in microtechnology, Skip led the State of Oregon to create ONAMI, a collaborative effort between Oregon’s four research universities and a national laboratory. Also a collaborator with Oregon BEST (Built Environment and Sustainable Technologies), Skip drives commercialization and job creation with all his work.
Prior to establishing an innovation consulting practice in 2001 and founding ONAMI in 2003 with the help of many university and business business leaders across the state , Mr. Rung was the director of Research and Development at Hewlett-Packard’s Corvallis facility. Skip has over 25 years of engineering and management experience in CMOS process technology, integrated circuit design & packaging, MEMS, microfluidics, and inkjet printing.
