A new home, a new format and added activities are in store for participants in Thursday’s WIN Expo, the innovation conference which has moved from the CH2M Hill Alumni Center to the Hewlett-Packard campus.

“The expo moved to the HP campus this year because we were looking for a way to create a more innovative environment around the event and ( the Microproducts Breakthrough Institute building) accommodated that goal for us,” said event organizer Anna Walsh, operations manager of the OSU Advantage Accelerator.

“Part of the Expo will include tours around the facility and interfacing with the entrepreneurs and start-ups in the building. The HP campus in general is home to innovative local companies like NuScale, Valliscor, OilEx Tech (and others) and we’re interested in showcasing them."

The WIN Expo will have its usual booths where local companies can show off and discuss their products, but this year’s event offers a number of other activities, including:

  • 4 p.m.: Young innovator’s zone opens
  • 5 p.m.: Tours of the Microproducts Breakthrough Institute
  • 5:30 p.m.: NSTS sponsored happy hour
  • 6 p.m.: A speed networking session

Also, a main stage program begins at 5 p.m., with a rapid-fire succession of 10 sessions, including a demonstration of an OSU “eco-marathon” car, commercial drones from VDOS, an update on the OSU Advantage Accelerator and free tips/tools to launch your business.
